If your new ADSL/PHONE service provider is TPG, OPTUS, IINET, DODO or any other provider, Telstra will only connect your new service to the building MDF. Once Telstra notifies your provider that the connection is at your building it can take several frustrating weeks of waiting for your provider to send a technician to jumper from the MDF to your internal socket.
